The City of Cocoa is planning a new policy for maintaining and updating business directory and wayfinding signs in Cocoa Village. This policy will involve removing existing signs that do not meet the City's Sign Code and replacing them with new ones that follow current standards. Historic Cocoa Village Main Street (HCVMS) will be responsible for routine monitoring, maintenance, and updating the directories. The City of Cocoa will also coordinate on installation and structural oversight with HCVMS. This project is currently under review. The work will involve site assessment, sign removal, potential minor site preparation for new sign bases, installation of new signage structures, and the application of new directory information. Contractors specializing in signage, site preparation, and installation could find opportunities. Reaching out to HCVMS and the City of Cocoa early in the review process may provide an advantage before specific plans and bids are finalized.
