The project, located south of CR 48, west of North Austin Merritt Road, and east of Sumter County Line, will consist of approximately 445.38 acres and allow for the future construction of up to 523 detached single-family residential units. The development will transition from Lake County A (Agriculture) and City R-1-A (Single Family Residential) zoning to City PUD. The project aims to increase economic opportunity and employment in Leesburg. The approval is subject to numerous conditions regarding land use, development standards, architectural design, landscaping, utilities, stormwater management, and transportation improvements. The Planning & Zoning Department recommended approval, finding the PUD compatible with surrounding zoning and future land use designations. No public comments of approval or disapproval were received.
