The Sumter County Tourist Development Council is reviewing a strategic plan for the fairgrounds. This plan proposes developing a garden, walking trails, and a children's park to make the fairgrounds a better community space. It also suggests considering a park area with public pools and/or a gym. This item is currently under review. The project could involve site clearing and grading, landscaping, hardscape installation for trails and parks, and potentially construction of pool and gym facilities. Contractors, suppliers, and service providers in site preparation, landscaping, concrete, pool construction, and general building trades may find opportunities.
