[City streets; case ITEM # 2026-864] The Destin City Council is considering the Destin Boathouse & Oyster Bar Forrest Day 5k, a road race scheduled for June 20, 2026, benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The event requires the use of city streets and requests a waiver of parking fees for participants and the registration tent from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The race has received notifications and approvals from relevant emergency services. The event is considered routine and staff recommends approval. [101 Stahlman Ave., Destin, FL 32541; case ITEM # 2026-882] The City Council is considering a proposal from BECI for pre-construction, contract administration, and post-construction services for the Destin Community Center roof replacement project. The project was initially awarded to Inland Construction and Engineering. BECI's services are intended to ensure adherence to building codes and manufacturer specifications, protect material warranties, and manage the project effectively. The cost for BECI's services is $29,500, which is budgeted in the FY 2026 budget. Staff recommends approval. [case ITEM # 2026-879] The City Council is considering Resolution 26-17 to update financial institution signature authority. This resolution replaces the retired City Clerk Rey Bailey with the new City Clerk, Lisa Wallace, as an authorized signatory. All other signatories remain the same. The resolution reinforces dual signature requirements for opening accounts and allows the Finance Director to manage cash management services with Trustmark, FL Prime, and Raymond James. The resolution is effective June 15, 2026.
