Penalties for violations range from written warnings for first offenses to civil penalties of up to $500 for subsequent offenses. The ordinance was passed and enacted on February 10, 2026, following public hearings. [Kelly Street; Commons Drive; case ITEM # 2026-599] The Public Works/Safety Committee is considering quotes for restriping Kelly Street and Commons Drive due to worn and faded lines that no longer meet FDOT maintenance standards. The estimated cost for both projects is approximately $78,600.00, with funds available in the Public Works budget. Emerald Coast Striping, Inc., the city's continuing services contractor, has provided quotes for the work.
