Mitras Family Extended LLC is proposing to rezone a 40.96-acre property in northwest Pasco County. The site is currently used for agriculture and is located about one mile north of State Road 52, one mile west of US Highway 41, and 1.6 miles east of the Suncoast Parkway. The applicant seeks to change the zoning from Agricultural-Residential (AR) to High Density Residential (R-4). The proposed development includes a maximum of 77 single-family detached homes. This rezoning request is currently under review by the Planning Commission. If approved, the project would involve site clearing and grading, installation of underground utilities, road construction, and the building of homes, followed by landscaping.
