The City Council meeting on April 14, 2026, approved 11 consent agenda items and introduced 5 new business items. Approved consent agenda items included sole source purchase of an evidence tracking system for $54,519, awarding term contracts for Grant Writing and Administration Services, Building Inspector Services, and Geotechnical Services. Also approved were bids for two 6,000-gallon bleach tank replacements for $93,977 to KC Petroleum LLC, and replacement of the fire alarm system at City Hall for $71,010 to Frontline Integration Systems, LLC. Piggyback term contracts were approved for Reservoir Environmental Cleaning Services with US Submergent Technologies, LLC, Fleet Management Software with SHI International Corp., and SCADA Instrumentation and Controls with Revere Control Systems, LLC. A piggyback purchase of 3 Freightliner M2 106 Grapple Loader Trucks for $677,666 was approved. Item 12, regarding Fire Department Battalion Chief positions and funding transfer, was approved with a 3/1 vote. Unfinished business included the tabling of Ordinance No. 2026-011, an amendment to Wellness Ridge CDD to include the Sanctuary at Wellness Ridge development, to April 28, 2026. New business introduced included Ordinance No. 2026-015 for Annexation of an improved parcel at 12305 US Highway 27, Ordinance No. 2026-016 for a Small-Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment for the same parcel, Ordinance No. 2026-017 for Rezoning of the same parcel, and Ordinance No. 2026-018 to establish a sanitation enterprise fund impact fee for new development. All new business items were introduced with a 4/0 vote.
