[Lee County District Schools within the City of Cape Coral, Florida; case Resolution 144-26] An agreement was approved between the School Board of Lee County, Florida, and the City of Cape Coral, Florida, to provide Cape Coral Police as School Resource Officers in Lee County District Schools within the City of Cape Coral, Florida. The agreement is for a 12-month period from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027, with a fund receipt of $2,224,030.08. The rezoned area is 69,944.56 sq. Ft. City Planning Staff and Hearing Examiner recommended approval. [case Ordinance 27-26] An ordinance was approved authorizing the issuance of not to exceed $65,000,000 in principal amount of bonds to finance and refinance the acquisition, construction, and equipping of various capital improvements within the City. This is a continuation from the May 20, 2026 meeting. [case Resolution 106-26] A resolution was approved authorizing the issuance of not exceeding $65,000,000 in aggregate principal amount of City of Cape Coral, Florida Special Obligation Revenue Bonds, Series 2026, to finance and refinance the acquisition, construction, and equipping of various capital improvements within the City. This is a continuation from the May 20, 2026 meeting. [case Ordinance 21-26] An ordinance was approved repealing Section 5.9.4 regarding garage sale permits and amending Chapter 12, Offenses and Miscellaneous Provisions, by creating Article XIX, Registration & Permits, Section 12-146, Garage sales. City Management recommended approval. [case Ordinance 29-26 (TXT26-000006)] An ordinance was approved amending Section 4.1.5, Projections and Encroachments into setbacks, within Article 4, Zoning Districts, Chapter 1, General Provisions, regarding the placement of certain equipment within building setback requirements. City Planning Staff and Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval. [case Ordinance 31-26] An ordinance was approved amending Ordinance 9-26, which provided for a referendum to consider amendments to Section 4.06 of the City Charter concerning the election of a Council member to serve as Mayor Pro Tem, by amending the referendum ballot title. This ordinance also provides for publication of a notice of the referendum election. [case Ordinance 32-26] An ordinance was approved amending Ordinance 14-26, which provided for a referendum to consider amendments to Section 4.05 of the City Charter concerning the required submission of proof of residency for candidates eligible to hold office of Mayor or Council member, by amending the referendum ballot title. This ordinance also provides for publication of a notice of the referendum election.
