[Former jail site] The Downtown Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and City Commission are considering the termination of the Acquisition and Redevelopment Agreement (ARA) with GlassHouse Square, L.L.C. for the former jail site. The ARA required GlassHouse to obtain a PD rezoning, which was denied by the City Commission on April 6, 2026, primarily due to inadequate parking. This denial followed a previous denial and a court order for a new hearing. GlassHouse has failed to cure the defaults. The City Attorney is authorized to deliver a formal notice of termination. Glasshouse's attorney indicated they are seeking damages for alleged breach of the ARA.
