[US 98/SR 30] The Destin City Council approved a Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) for landscape and median improvements along US 98/SR 30. The agreement includes reimbursement funding not to exceed $600,000, and the City Manager is authorized to execute necessary documents and amend the FY26 budget by $600,000. The motion passed 7-0. [Airport Road] The Destin City Council authorized the City Manager to issue a purchase order to the city's continuous service contractor for resurfacing and striping work on Airport Road. [Pine Street (proposed change to Blue Marlin Court)] Mike Leech spoke in support of the proposed street name change from Pine Street to Blue Marlin Court and expressed concerns about a previously discussed concept of extending Pine Street through adjacent properties to connect with Stallman Avenue, citing increased traffic, congestion, and safety risks for children. He urged the Council to approve the street name change and retain the roadway as a cul-de-sac.
