The SHIP Affordable Housing Advisory Committee will review applications for affordable rental housing projects and recommend whether the City Commission should fund a Local Government Contribution to one of the projects. The City budgets $460,000 of ConnectFree Program revenue for this purpose for Fiscal Year 2025-26. The committee will hear presentations, discuss project strengths and weaknesses, score projects using an Evaluation Form, and recommend the highest scoring project to the City Commission. The Chair or another member will present the recommendation to the City Commission at their July 23, 2026, General Policy Committee Meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for August 11, 2026.
