The City Commission of Kissimmee approved two ordinances related to land use and zoning changes on approximately 18 acres of land located at Parcel ID: 30-25-29-00U0-0080-0000. Ordinance #26-06 amended the Future Land Use Map from Single-Family Low Density Residential (SF-LDR) to Industrial Business (IN), and Ordinance #26-07 amended the Zoning Map from Agricultural Conservation (AC) to Industrial Business (IB). Both ordinances passed with a 5-0 vote. Additionally, the Commission approved the first reading of Ordinance #26-08, which amends the Future Land Use Map for approximately 157.31 acres across three parcel IDs (30-25-29-00U0-0080-0000, 25-25-28-00U0-0110-0000, and 36-25-28-00U0-0010-0000) from Single-Family Low Density Residential (SF-LDR) to Conservation (CONS), also passing 5-0. The establishment of the Hilliard Isle Community Development District (CDD) on approximately 451 acres was approved on first reading via Ordinance #26-15, with a 5-0 vote. The consent agenda, which included various items such as easement agreements for Woodside Drainage & Utility Phase 2, professional services for NPDES, a 3-Year HOME Program Consortia Renewal, an Election Administration Policy, second extensions for Continuing Surveying Services contracts, construction services for Chambers Park Phase 2, a Developer's Service Agreement with Tohopekaliga Water Authority for the Kissimmee Gateway Airport's new air traffic control tower, and acceptance of FDOT grant funding for pedestrian and bicycle safety, was also approved unanimously. Public comment was heard on various topics including the Azure Hotel Convention Center Project, government transparency, permitting processes, and park improvements. No public comment was received on the land use and zoning amendment public hearings.
