The City of Ocala Planning & Zoning Commission met to review several development proposals. Approved projects include a land use change for 4.06 acres at 2800 block of SW 20th Street, the abrogation of 7.21 acres of public rights-of-way in Lake Louise Estates and Manor plats, a new 5,000 sq ft commercial building at 123 Main Street, a rezoning for 4.06 acres at 2800 block of SW 20th Street to governmental use, the Mockingbird Ridge Conceptual Subdivision, the TBMI Commercial Outparcel Development Conceptual Subdivision, a rezoning of 2.99 acres at 2800 block of SW 20th Street to institutional use, a future land use change for 4.88 acres at 2800 block of SW 20th Street, a rezoning of 82.10 acres at 5575 SW 52nd Street to planned development, and a resolution for a recycling drop-off program on municipal properties. Future opportunities may arise from these and other proposed developments, including mixed-use projects near SE 36th Avenue and SE 17th Street, and near SW 27th Avenue and SW 38th Street.
