Escambia County is amending its Code of Ordinances, Chapter 102, Article VI, by creating Section 102-87. This amendment allows the County to administer and enforce Florida Statutes Sections 327.4107 and 327.4111, which relate to vessels at risk of becoming derelict and long-term anchoring requirements. The County will designate its code enforcement officers to handle these enforcement duties in coordination with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). The ordinance requires FWC approval and filing with the Florida Department of State to become effective.
