Case OSP-2026-02: Meredith Bush, agent for Long and Moore Land Company, LLC, requested to remove 160.07 acres at 1700 Blk Jacks Branch Rd from the Escambia County Mid-West Sector Plan and assign a Future Land Use category of Agriculture Residential (AR). The property is currently Conservation Neighborhood and Wetlands. The Board reviewed and recommended this to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) for adoption. Case OSP-2026-01: Meredith Bush, agent for DDJ Land Company, LLC, requested to remove 801.78 acres at 900 Blk Jacks Branch Rd from the Escambia County Mid-West Sector Plan and assign a Future Land Use category of Mixed-Use Suburban (MU-S). The property is currently Traditional Village, Traditional Garden, Suburban Garden, Town Center, Conservation Neighborhood, and Wetlands. The Board reviewed and recommended this to the BCC for adoption. Case LSA-2026-01: A public hearing was held to review an ordinance amending the Future Land Use Map. The Board reviewed and recommended to the BCC for transmittal to DEO an ordinance amending the 2030 FLU Map, changing the FLU category of 538.42 acres located within Section 05, Township 1S, Range 31W, on Frank Reeder Road and Nine Mile Road/US Highway 90A/State Road 10, from Mixed-Use Urban (MU-U) and Commercial (C) to Mixed-Use Urban (MU-U). A public hearing was also held concerning the review of an ordinance amending the Escambia County Comprehensive Plan to remove and replace language of FLUM Mixed-Use Urban (MU-U) and FLUM Commercial (C) in Outlying Landed Field 8 - OLF Master Plan District for the same 538.42 acres. The Board reviewed and recommended to the BCC to review and transmit to DEO this ordinance. The meeting also included approval of minutes from the June 2, 2026 meeting and acceptance of the meeting packet.
