[1800 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL] The Indian River County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) met on May 29, 2026, to consider the FY 2027 – FY 2031 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). Project Development and Environmental (PD&E) study is funded in FY 2028-2029, and project design is funded in FY 2031. Total project cost is $4,364,628. [From W of 82nd Ave to 58th Ave; case 4056063] Project to widen CR 510 (85th Street) from 2 lanes to 4 lanes for 3.26 miles, between 82nd Avenue and 58th Avenue. Preliminary engineering is underway. Right-of-way acquisition is programmed for FY 2025 through FY 2028. Total project cost is $22,812,798. [From CR-512 to W of 82nd Ave; case 4056064] Project to widen CR 510 (85th Street) from 2 lanes to 4 lanes for 2.2 miles, between CR-512 and 87th Street. Right-of-way funds are programmed for FY 2028. Construction funds are in respective project segments. Total project cost is $13,963,733. [From 87th St to West of 82nd Ave; case 4056068] Project to widen CR 510 (85th Street) from 2 lanes to 4 lanes for 0.871 miles, between 87th Street and 82nd Avenue. Railroad and Utility funds are programmed for FY 2029. Construction funds are programmed for FY 2030 and FY 2031. Total project cost is $28,646,932. [From 58th Avenue to East of US 1; case 4416921] Project to widen CR 510 (85th Street) from 2 lanes to 4 lanes for 0.6 miles, between 58th Avenue and US 1. Preliminary engineering is underway. Right-of-way acquisition is programmed for FY 2031. Construction is programmed for future years. Total project cost is $9,201,119. [From Willow Street to SR-9/I-95; case 4573171] Project to widen CR 512 from 2 lanes to 4 lanes for 2.572 miles, between Willow Street and I-95. Construction is funded in FY 2031. Total project cost is $22,957,081. [From I-95 to Oslo Road; case 4130485] Landscaping project in conjunction with FM# 4130482 for the I-95/Oslo Road Interchange. The Indian River County MPO is seeking General Planning Consultants (GPCs) to provide transportation planning services. Services may include short and long-range transportation planning, corridor analyses, non-motorized transportation planning, transit planning, travel demand forecasting model calibration, traffic engineering studies, public participation activities, comprehensive plan reviews, and congestion management process updates. The contracts will be for three years with an option for two additional years. The MPO currently has four GPCs whose contracts expire on December 14, 2026.
