Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with EXP U.S. Services Inc. for mechanical and electrical room upgrades at Miami International Airport (MIA). The project involves upgrading 125 mechanical and electrical rooms in Concourse E and E-Satellite to comply with current building codes and ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The contract has a maximum amount of $13,530,664.00 for a term of six years. The Aviation Department determined it lacks the in-house capabilities for this multi-disciplinary design work. EXP U.S. Services Inc. was the highest-ranked firm selected through a competitive process, with sub-consultants including Valderrama & Valderrama Engineering, Inc.; Assurance Consulting Engineers, LLC; Olanz Architecture & Design Corp.; and EG3A, LLC. The project is part of MIA's broader $12 billion modernization plan.
