THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE PHASE VI LEASE

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving the Third Amendment to the Phase VI Lease Agreement between Miami-Dade County and Foundry Meek VI, LLC. This amendment adds 103,659 square feet of land to the existing leasehold at Miami-Opa-locka Executive Airport (OPF), extending the development period. The project involves the development of a minimum of 18,000 square feet of aircraft hangar space, a taxiway, and parking. The estimated rent to the County's airport system over the term is $22,890,000.00. A key condition of the substitute amendment is a community benefit contribution of no less than $50,000.00 per year for the first three years to the City of Miami Gardens. Foundry Meek VI, LLC is also responsible for specific work at a Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) pump station. The project is estimated to create 30 temporary construction jobs and 5-8 permanent jobs.
