Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving a contract award to LEGO Construction Co. for the Miami International Airport (MIA) Terminal Wide Re-roofing and Lightning System Upgrades Project No. AA078A. The contract includes a 10 percent contingency, an Inspector's General Fee, and two dedicated allowance accounts for various repairs and temporary emergency repairs. The project also incorporates sustainability and energy resilience enhancements, including a solar-ready roof and a Solar PV system. The contract is subject to Davis Bacon Wages and adheres to the Sustainable Buildings Ordinance. LEGO Construction Co. has a history of 20 years in business and an average evaluation rating of 3.7 out of 4.0 points in the SBD's Capital Improvements Information System.
