Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is approving the award of a competitive revenue-generating contract (Contract No. EVN0002968) for a Passenger Lounge at Miami International Airport (MIA) to AD Partnership, LLC. The project involves the financing, design, construction, development, management, operation, and maintenance of a premium passenger lounge. The projected revenue for the county over the 15-year term is $93,800,000.00. The lounge will be located on the third floor of Concourse E at MIA, above Gate E7, and will offer amenities such as premium seating, food and beverage service, a full-service bar, Wi-Fi, and business center services. The vendor is responsible for all capital investment and build-out costs, including necessary access improvements. During a committee meeting, concerns were raised by Chairwoman Cohen Higgins regarding a labor peace agreement, which the applicant, represented by Mr. Les Pantin of Pantin Gov, confirmed they were amenable to. Commissioner Gilbert III stated he would ensure all requirements were met and would defer the item if an agreement was not reached. The contract award is for a 15-year term.
