Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is set to approve a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with HDR Engineering, Inc. for general engineering and inspection services at Miami International Airport. This contract, part of a pool of consultants, is for a maximum amount of $41,353,125.00 over five years with a five-year renewal option. The services will support the Miami-Dade Aviation Department's Capital Improvement Program, including construction and renovation of buildings, civil projects, and mechanical/electrical systems. The contract aims to ensure projects are built to approved plans, maintain structural integrity and safety, and that building systems are properly tested and verified. The modernization plan for MIA has been expanded to $12 billion. HDR Engineering, Inc. was the top-ranked firm out of sixteen proposals.
