Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with HDR Engineering, Inc. for general engineering and inspection services at Miami International Airport. The contract, valued at a maximum of $41,353,125.00, has a term of five years with a five-year renewal option. HDR will provide routine construction inspection, threshold inspection, and commissioning services for various capital improvement projects, including terminal, concourse, runway, and infrastructure upgrades. This is one of five similar agreements awarded as part of a pool of consultants. The project is funded through future financing and reserve maintenance funds. The Aviation Department determined it lacked the in-house capabilities for these specialized services.
