Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) and PortMiami are requesting an extension of Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-01841 for Passenger Boarding Bridges. This extension seeks an additional five years and $147,080,000 in expenditure authority, bringing the total modified cumulative pool amount to $297,464,300. The funds will be used for the purchase and installation of new passenger boarding bridges, refurbishment of existing ones, and procurement of parts and supplies. MDAD specifically requests $137,080,000 for forty new bridges, fifty refurbishments, and maintenance parts. PortMiami requests $10,000,000 for new bridges for the North Bulkhead project and modifications to existing bridges. The pool was initially established on November 2, 2021, and currently has eight prequalified vendors, including four local vendors, two of which are certified Small Business Enterprises (SBE).
