PORT OF MIAMI CRANE MANAGEMENT, INC.

Aviation and Seaport Committee · 2026-07-13 · resolution

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering Resolution File Number 261160, which proposes waiving competitive bidding to approve and execute Amendment No. 3 to the 2012 Container Handling Crane Maintenance Management Agreement between Miami-Dade County and Port of Miami Crane Management, Inc. (PMCM). This amendment would provide five additional one-year renewals for the agreement. The estimated annual cost is $25,287,000.00, totaling $126,435,000.00 if all renewal options are exercised. PMCM, a Florida not-for-profit corporation created and funded by the County, is deemed uniquely qualified to manage the maintenance of the County's seaport gantry cranes and other cargo handling equipment, including Rubber-Tired Gantry Cranes (RTGs) and Passenger Boarding Bridges. The Aviation and Seaport Committee forwarded the item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation. The item is scheduled for the Board's agenda on September 1, 2026.
