Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is approving the award of a competitive revenue-generating contract for an American Sports Bar at Miami International Airport (MIA) to SSP America MIA, LLC. The contract is for a 10-year term with projected revenues of $12,000,000.00 for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD). The concession will feature a U.S. stadium-inspired concept with a broad menu. The Aviation and Seaport Committee forwarded this item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation. The contract involves the finance, design, construction, management, operation, and maintenance of the food and beverage concept. The vendor will pay the County the greater of a percentage of gross revenues (18% for alcohol, 14% for other sales) or the prevailing Class VI Terminal rental rate. The contract requires adherence to the Living Wage Ordinance. Two other proposals were deemed non-responsive due to failure to submit pricing.
