CARPAU SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT

Board of County Commissioners · 2026-05-19 · ordinance

Miami-Dade County adopted an ordinance creating the CARPAU Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district is generally bounded by Theoretical SW 290 Terrace (North), Harriet Tubman Highway (East), Theoretical SW 292 Street (South), and SW 162 Avenue (West). Services will include maintenance of landscaped areas, common areas, wetlands, lakes, and exterior fencing/walls abutting public rights-of-way, as well as street lighting. The initial estimated cost for multipurpose maintenance is $17,460.00 ($0.0781 per assessable square foot), and for street lighting is $14,262.16 for the first year, followed by $685.11 for the second year ($3.1029 per assessable front foot). The developer, CFF Development Group, LLC, is the sole property owner and requested the district. Street lighting installation and operation will be via an agreement with Homestead Energy Services. Maintenance services will be provided by the County if the developer or any association/CDD fails to do so. The district is located within Commission District 8.
