CARPAU SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT

Miami-Dade County adopted an ordinance creating the CARPAU Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district is generally bounded by Theoretical SW 290 Terrace (North), Harriet Tubman Highway (East), Theoretical SW 292 Street (South), and SW 162 Avenue (West). Services will include maintenance of landscaped areas, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, lakes, and exterior fencing/walls, as well as street lighting. The initial estimated cost for multipurpose maintenance is $17,460.00 ($0.0781 per assessable square foot), and for street lighting is $14,262.16 for the first year and $685.11 for the second year ($3.1029 per assessable front foot). The street lighting installation and operation will be under an agreement with Homestead Energy Services. The developer, CFF Development Group, LLC, requested the district, and 100% of property owners signed the petition. Public comment is not stated.
