LITTLE HAITI TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT PLANNING

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-426-26, ratifying the execution of a grant agreement with the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for $1,250,000.00. These funds, under the FY 2023 Pilot Program for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Planning, will be used to prepare a Master TOD Plan for the Little Haiti Commuter Rail Station, part of the Northeast Corridor project. The plan aims to encourage equitable transit-oriented growth, enhance multimodal transportation, provide job access, and encourage affordable housing. The project is located in Commission District 3. The grant does not require matching funds from the County. The work plan activities are anticipated to be completed within four years of the grant award.
