Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution ratifying the execution of a grant agreement with the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for $1,250,000. This funding, under the FY 2023 Pilot Program for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Planning, will be used to prepare a Master TOD Plan for the Little Haiti Commuter Rail Station within the Northeast Corridor project. The plan aims to encourage equitable transit-oriented growth, enhance multimodal transportation, provide access to job centers, and encourage affordable, higher-density housing. The work plan activities are anticipated to be completed within four years of the grant award. A scrivener's error regarding the commission district was corrected.
