RENEWAL OF SCHOOL BOARD REFERENDUM

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution calling for a countywide election on November 3, 2026, to allow voters to decide whether to authorize the School Board of Miami-Dade County to maintain a one (1) mill ad valorem tax levy exclusively for operating expenses of public schools. This levy is intended to improve compensation for teachers and instructional personnel and enhance student safety and school security. The election is requested by the School Board and all election costs will be borne by the School Board. The proposed tax levy would be in effect from July 1, 2027, to June 30, 2031.
