RENEWAL OF SCHOOL BOARD REFERENDUM

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution calling for a countywide election on November 3, 2026, to allow voters to decide whether to authorize the School Board of Miami-Dade County to maintain a one (1) mill ad valorem tax levy exclusively for operating expenses for public schools. This tax is intended for teacher compensation, instructional personnel, and student safety and security, and would be in effect from July 1, 2027, to June 30, 2031. The School Board requested this election and will cover all associated costs. The resolution was adopted on May 19, 2026.
