Miami-Dade County adopted an ordinance creating the Genia Gardens Multipurpose Maintenance Special Taxing District. This district is established to maintain landscaped swales, medians, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, lakes, and exterior fencing/walls abutting public rights-of-way, including turf, trees, shrubs, and irrigation. Services will commence if any association or community development district fails to provide them. The estimated cost for the first year is $88,534.34, and $71,717.38 for the second year, funded by special assessments based on square footage. The developer, Titan Development Partners, LLC, petitioned for the district, representing 100% of property owners. The district is managed by the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department.
