Miami-Dade County adopted an ordinance creating the Julia's Estate Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district will provide for the maintenance of landscaped areas, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, and lakes, as well as street lighting services. The developer, The Estates at Skylake Dev Group, LLC, initiated the petition, with 100% of property owners signing. The initial cost for street lighting services is estimated at $20,739.13 for the first year, and multipurpose maintenance services are estimated at $21,374.27 for the second year, with subsequent years adjusted based on actual costs. Street lighting services are expected to commence in November 2028. The district is generally bounded by Theoretical West Oakland Haven Circle, NE 199 Street, and a lake area, located within Section 33, Township 51 South, Range 42 East.
