Miami-Dade County adopted an ordinance creating the Julia's Estate Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district is generally bounded by Theoretical West Oakland Haven Circle to the north and east, NE 199 Street to the south, and Lake Area to the west. The district will provide maintenance for landscaped areas, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, and lakes, as well as street lighting services. The estimated initial cost for multipurpose maintenance is $21,374.27, and for street lighting is $20,739.13 for the first year. The developer, The Estates at Skylake Dev Group, LLC, is the sole property owner and requested the district. Services are expected to begin in November 2028 for street lighting and later for maintenance if needed. The district was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on May 19, 2026.
