STD - JULIA ESTATES

Board of County Commissioners · 2026-05-19 · ordinance

Miami-Dade County adopted an ordinance creating the Julia's Estate Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district is generally bounded by Theoretical West Oakland Haven Circle to the north and east, NE 199 Street to the south, and a Lake Area to the west. The district will provide for the maintenance of landscaped areas, common features, and street lighting. The developer, The Estates at Skylake Dev Group, LLC, initiated the petition, with 100% of property owners signing. The estimated initial costs for street lighting are $20,739.13 for the first year and $1,042.30 for the second year. Multipurpose maintenance costs are estimated at $21,374.27 for the second year, with the first year's costs covered by the petitioner. Street lighting services are expected to commence in November 2028, following developer provision for the first year. Maintenance services will begin after developer and association/CDD cessation of services. Florida Power and Light will own and maintain the street lighting facilities.
