Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners accepted a report on an agreement with South Florida Behavioral Health Network, Inc. d/b/a Thriving Mind South Florida for behavioral health services. The CRF, operated by Banyan Community Health Center, Inc., serves uninsured individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. The report covers performance for FY 2022-23, FY 2023-24, and FY 2024-25, detailing metrics such as individuals served (1,628 in FY22-23, 2,068 in FY23-24, 1,973 in FY24-25), intake compliance (100%), outpatient appointment timeliness (exceeding 90%), follow-up calls, alternative appointment secured, and readmission rates for Crisis Stabilization Unit and detoxification services, all of which remained below contractual benchmarks. The funding can also leverage up to $500,000 annually in Medicaid matching funds.
