Miami-Dade County Commission accepted a report on an agreement with South Florida Behavioral Health Network, Inc. d/b/a Thriving Mind South Florida for behavioral health services. The agreement, initially authorized by Resolution R-95-24 and effective February 26, 2024, provides $1.0 million annually for services through the Miami-Dade County Central Receiving Facility (CRF). The CRF is operated by Banyan Community Health Center, Inc. The program serves uninsured individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. For Fiscal Year 2022-23, 1,628 individuals were served. For FY 2023-24, 2,068 individuals were served. For FY 2024-25, 1,973 individuals were served. The agreement includes up to four one-year renewal options. The funding can also leverage up to $500,000 in annual Medicaid matching funds.
