CDD SAN DIEGO VILLAS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance establishing the San Diego Villas Community Development District (CDD). The CDD is created to finance capital improvements and maintenance for a proposed 23.09-acre residential development by Lennar Homes, LLC. The development will include 271 villa units, roadway improvements, stormwater management, wastewater collection, and water distribution systems, with an estimated cost of $16.055 million. The CDD will have powers related to community development services and facilities, excluding waste disposal, and will be subject to restrictive covenants regarding notice of liens and assessments to purchasers. The County found the creation of the CDD to be a timely, efficient, and economic way to deliver services without overburdening the County.
