Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance on first reading regarding Application No. CDMP20250007. The application, filed by GPC Miami Business Park, LLC, seeks to amend the Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP). The proposed change involves redesignating approximately 84.8 gross acres. Specifically, 79.62 acres currently designated 'Office/Residential' and 5.18 acres designated 'Low-Medium Density Residential' (6 to 13 dwelling units per acre) would be changed to 'Industrial and Office' (81.36 acres), 'Business and Office' (2.14 acres), and 'Low-Medium-High Density Residential' (1.30 acres, 6 to 13 dwelling units per acre). The site is located on the west side of the Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike, generally east of SW 112 Avenue, between SW 186 Street and SW 196 Street. The ordinance was adopted on first reading on June 2, 2026, and is currently in committee. Twelve individuals waived in support during the public hearing, and no one appeared to speak against the proposal. The public hearing date for the next step is to be determined.
