CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 WITH JOHN BELL CONSTRUCTION, INC.

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-503-26, approving Change Order No. 2 for the Coconut Grove Playhouse Phase 1 project (Project No. C24-CUA-CGP-PH1). This change order increases the contract amount by $1,812,258.98 with John Bell Construction, Inc., bringing the total contract value to $6,805,189.97. The increase is due to unforeseen conditions, including extensive deterioration of the historic gateway building's facade walls, requiring revised structural bracing and repair work, as well as mitigation for a tree undermining the foundation. Funding is from Convention Development Tax Bonds (Special Obligation Bond Series 2005).
