CODESIGNATION - WILFREDO ‘WILLY’ GORT WAY

The Miami-Dade County Commission considered the codesignation of a portion of Northwest 14th Avenue between Northwest 28th Street and Northwest 26th Street as "Wilfredo ‘Willy’ Gort Way". The City of Miami had previously passed a resolution for this codesignation. The County Commission was asked to approve the City's codesignation and direct the installation of signage. The matter was deferred to no date certain by Commissioner Hardemon. The proposed codesignation honors Wilfredo Gort for his extensive public service and civic engagement in Miami-Dade County.
