CODESIGNATION - WILFREDO ‘WILLY’ GORT WAY

Miami-Dade County Commissioners considered the codesignation of a portion of Northwest 14th Avenue between Northwest 28th Street and Northwest 26th Street as "Wilfredo ‘Willy’ Gort Way". The City of Miami had previously passed a resolution approving this codesignation. The County Commission deferred the item to no date certain at the request of Commissioner Hardemon. The purpose of the codesignation is to honor Wilfredo Gort for his extensive public service and contributions to the community, including his roles as City Commissioner, Vice Mayor, and Acting Mayor of Miami, and his advocacy for seniors, working families, small businesses, and neighborhood preservation. The County was asked to install signage for this codesignation.
