Miami-Dade County Commission deferred a resolution to approve the City of Miami's codesignation of Northwest 14th Avenue between Northwest 28th Street and Northwest 26th Street as "Wilfredo ‘Willy’ Gort Way". The City of Miami passed a resolution on April 9, 2026, to codesignate this portion of the road, and requested the County install signage. The purpose is to honor Wilfredo Gort for his decades of public service and civic engagement in Miami.
