Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving a contract award to LEGO Construction Co. for the Miami International Airport (MIA) Terminal Wide Re-roofing and Lightning System Upgrades Project (No. AA078A). LEGO Construction Co. was determined to be qualified for the award, with their base bid being within an acceptable range of the engineer's estimate. The contract includes a 10 percent contingency, an Inspector's General Fee, and two dedicated allowance accounts for various repairs and temporary emergency repairs. The project will adhere to sustainable building practices and the Buy American Iron and Steel Procurement Program.
