CONVEYANCE TO FDOT TWO EASEMENTS AT MIAMI GARDENS DRIVE

Board of County Commissioners · 2026-06-02 · resolution

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing the conveyance of two perpetual easements to the State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for a roadway improvement project. The easements are for parcels 800 and 801, located at the SW corner of SR 860/Miami Gardens Drive and NW 37th Avenue (approximately 2,414 sq ft) and the SE corner of SR 860/Miami Gardens Drive and NE 6th Avenue (approximately 1,061 sq ft). The purpose is to allow FDOT to construct, install, access, and maintain traffic signals, control cabinets, pedestrian ramps, and other appurtenant facilities. The conveyance is for a nominal price of $1.00, with FDOT responsible for all project costs and maintenance. The easements will revert to the County if FDOT ceases using them for transportation purposes. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item with a favorable recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners.
