Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-551-26, directing the County Mayor or designee to file an application to amend the Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP). The amendment aims to create a density bonus allowance or other development incentives for properties within Miami-Dade County regulatory jurisdiction that are adjacent to or within 500 feet of the Rapid Transit Corridor Bicycle and Pedestrian Area (RTCBPA) and proffer public benefits related to the RTCBPA. This initiative seeks to incentivize dense development along transit and mobility corridors when public benefits are offered for the improvement and maintenance of the RTCBPA. The Transportation Committee forwarded this item to the Board with a favorable recommendation.
