Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-551-26 on June 16, 2026, directing the County Mayor or designee to file an application to amend the Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP). The amendment will create a density bonus allowance or other development incentives for properties within Miami-Dade County regulatory jurisdiction that are adjacent to, or within 500 feet of, the Rapid Transit Corridor Bicycle and Pedestrian Area (RTCBPA) and proffer public benefits related to the RTCBPA. The intent is to incentivize dense development along transit and mobility corridors when public benefits are offered to improve and maintain the RTCBPA.
