Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving a state-funded grant agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for roadway improvements along NW 12 Street. The project involves widening and resurfacing NW 12 Street from NW 122nd Avenue near the SR 836 interchange and Dolphin Station Park-and-Ride facility to NW 114th Avenue. Improvements include adding dedicated bus-only lanes, increasing capacity for existing turn lanes, constructing new turn lanes, and enhancing Florida Turnpike exit ramps and the right-turn lane from Dolphin Mall at NW 114 Avenue. The total estimated project cost is $7,096,360, with FDOT providing up to $3,548,180 and the remaining 50% funded by Charter County Transportation Surtax funds. The project aims to improve access and connectivity to the Dolphin Station Park-and-Ride facility and is anticipated to be completed by June 30, 2030.
