Board of County Commissioners · 2026-06-02 · resolution

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing an additional five years and $14,125,000.00 in expenditure authority for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-01778, Elderly Meal Services, for the Community Services Department. This brings the total modified cumulative pool amount to $29,125,000.00. The extension aims to continue providing nutritious meals to elderly clients through adult care and senior centers, congregate meal sites, and the Meals on Wheels Program for homebound participants. The program is federally funded by the Alliance for Aging, Inc. under the Older Americans Act. The pool currently has nine prequalified vendors with local addresses. Any contract award exceeding $5,000,000.00 requires ratification by the Board. The pool was initially established on July 20, 2021, and is set to expire on September 30, 2031.
