Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-558-26, authorizing amendments to lease and land use plans for the Mental Health Center at 2200 NW 7th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33127. The resolution approves non-competitive contracts totaling up to $45,687,127.00 for services at the center. The Village South, Inc. (and parent WestCare Foundation, Inc.) will receive up to $27,218,627.00 for mental health services, and The Advocate Program Inc. will receive up to $4,169,861.00 for ancillary services. Additional estimated operating costs to the county are not to exceed $14,298,639.00 annually. The resolution also approves an Opioid Funding Disbursement and Implementation Plan for FY 2025-2026 through September 30, 2031, and directs the issuance of expedited RFPs for outpatient treatment and transitional housing services for the seventh and sixth floors, respectively. The Board also establishes a framework for ongoing oversight, independent evaluation, and performance measurement.
